Blackeye Productions is a publisher of original percussion music and arrangements written by Sergei Golovko, Composer, Marimba and Xylophone soloist, International Master Educator Endorser with “Malletech” (USA), one of the leading Percussion teachers and Educators in Australia. Sergei is a PAS Victortian representative and Percussion workshops presenter with Musica Viva and Victorian Department of Education.
He completed his studies at the Moscow State Conservatory and Russian Academy of Music. Sergei has toured internationally, playing to audiences in England, Austria, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Finland, Germany, Korea, China and other countries. Internationally acclaimed virtuoso marimba and xylophone soloist, he has been awarded prizes and honorary diplomas at domestic and international festivals such as the “National Percussion Content”, the International Festivals in China and Korea and the “Vienna-Music” and “Radio-France” Festivals in Europe. Sergei’s colorful interpretations of famous compositions, combined with master marimba technique that he has acquired have attracted tremendous public appeal.
Sergei Golovko currently is a Director of the Australian Percussion Academy and Head of Percussion at Ivanhoe Girls Grammar School and McKinnon Secondary College. He was teaching at the Victorian College of the Arts, University of Melbourne (1997-2006), he was Artistic Director of the Australian Drummers Show Band (1998-2000, Musical Director and Conductor for the Australia Day Concerts on Federation Square and Sidney Myer Music Bowl. Sergei was working with Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Australian Philharmonic Orchestra playing as a guest-soloist on ABC Radio and Television, also playing shows, doing recordings for movies, commercials and participating in International Melbourne Festivals.
